LOST IMAGES IN CATALOG 7.0
I have been shooting a long day with 7.0 of 5 different shoots all in the same catalog.
After I was finished, I started working on the images, but then 7.0 crashed.
When I re-opened 7.0, my last shoot, about 100 images were all gone as was some stars on my favorites during my edit.
Where are the images inside of a catalog? They are nowhere!
I have a shoot in the morning and am afraid to write anything to this drive before I find and firgure out how to recover them
Where do the actual files go when you shoot a catalog? Maybe they are there...but it is not intuitive on where to look.
Please advise.

Have you tried looking in your pictures folder? ie. Macintosh HD>Users>[username]>Pictures 0 -
ok ---
so when it crashed, the "catalog" does not see the last part of the shoot, but if you go to the catalog and go to "show contents" -- deep inside the folders, you will find the original raw images.
There should be a "show original in finder" option when you click on an image in a catalog..
I think I will be creating sessions for now on during my shoots and then create a "catalog" and impoting my sessions to organize them...
Dodged a bullet on this one...0 -
It seems to keep the photos in a file struction similar to iPhoto, etc. My biggest issue when I tested the catalog feature is that I could not find the images with a search in the Mac finder window toolbar. I think I'll stick to Sessions and Media Pro. 0
