Sony RX100M7

Just curious about when there will be RAW support for the Sony RX100M7 - basically the same camera as the M6 (same lens, sensor) which is supported.

    Nobody here will be able to tell you. We are just your fellow users. Phase One don't make advance announcements, and any beta testers who might know the answer are prevented from saying by a non-disclosure agreement.

    Observation:
    Since 2007 Phase One has come out with a new major version of Capture One in September (once), October (twice), November (3 times) and December (twice). No new major version in 2008 and 2011.

    So its rather likely that in the next two months there will be a new version of Capture One, and since the RX100 mk7 has been shipping since late August it will be surprising if it is not included.

    It would be sad if I have to buy the new version to get support for this camera. On1 2020 also doesn't support this camera yet, though Apple and DxO PL3 do now. Guess the A7RM4 is supported first because it is a more "serious" camera. but a lot of advanced photographers use the RX cameras. I have both.

    There are options.
    For example, a trial copy is usually good for one month.
    I hear there is a Capture One version for Sony which may come with the camera and may be free. That should include M7.
    You could pay a monthly licence for Capture One 12 until there is a version that supports the M7
    Capture One typically offers a discount to users that already have a permanent license for a previous version, and they often offer an even better deal to those who have purchased less than 30 days before the upgrade.

    I have already decided to use the (free) Sony version. It has all the features I need and I am only shooting Sony now. It is an amazing value. I have other options for my old Canon images.

    Sorry for the late update posting, I had requested that support/feature request be added for RX100M7 on October 12.
