Quick Select all tags ?
Hi everyone.
As many here i was really doubtful with my ability to use C1 4 as a professional production software. With the kind help of some actors of this forum i'm learning more on how I could work it out. The more I know the more I like it.
I found good workarounds on many feature that I thought was gone.
There are still two I'm looking for :
-R G B separate curves and levels. but I hope this is in progress...
-Ability to quickly select all tagged frames AND browsing through tagged frames.
This 3.7 option was a decent time saver for some of us. Is there an hidden option I couldn't find or is it going to be implemented some time ?

Separate RGB levels and curves has been mentioned here several times in the past and it is good to have a wake-up call every now and then. I am pretty sure however that it is on the feature request list (the contents and priority of the list is a good preserved secret 😉 )
Regarding selecting and browsing color tagged or star rated images, I do the following:
After tagging/rating, I first deselect all images (Sh+Cmd+A, optional step, you'll see later). Next, Edit, Select by Rating (or Color Tag). Browse through selected images with Select Next/Previous (Edit menu, tool bar, short cuts).
You can select and deselect multiple ratings, for example select the 1- and 2-stars and deselect Unrated. By starting with deselect all, I have quicker the desired selection (best try this at home). Selections chosen are added to the images currently selected.
Selecting color tagging is not working in an adding or cumulating fashion but exclusive. If you select a color tag, all images not tagged for that color are deselected.
You can also sort on color tag and star rating. Best not to combine rating and tagging because selecting can become confusing, but if you like that... please knock yourself out.
Note that this description applies to CO 4.6/Mac. The parallel Windows version has been a bit different in behavior.0 -
Thanks again Paul. It was so obvious ! 0 -
Another good way is I first colour tag all my final image selections.
I then select all images by colour tag and drag them into an album. That way you have a virtual folder (original RAW file remain in capture folder) of selected images only, without the clutter of the other unwanted images.
I think albums is a great way of de-cluttering image selections.0 -
You might also try customizing your workflow a bit by (if you haven't already) using the "Edith Keyboard Shortcuts" tool in the Capture One menu at the top left of the menu bar. You can set keyboard shortcuts for selecting and sorting by rating. 0
