How to import catalogs from EM to MP?
I have read the numerous posts from people who are dissatisfied with Media Pro, but I am on a trial version, and I see one major advance: MP renders thumbnails from TIFFs much faster than EM. This alone is enough for me to upgrade. In general, MP seems much faster.
What I would like to know is whether there is a simple way to batch import catalogs from EM to MP, or is it necessary to open each catalog individually and save it in MP?

Edit: I take back what I said. MP is painfully slow at creating thumbnails from TIFFs. It could easily take more than an hour to create a catalog of a folder containing 150 files. If I select all of the files and rebuild them, it goes somewhat faster, but should this be necessary? And this is despite the fact the thumbnails already exist in Capture One. Aren't these programs supposed to play nice together? I find it unacceptable. From my standpoint, there is no obvious improvement from EM. If someone knows how to speed the process, please let me know.

Since there were no responses to my original query, I decided to figure it out for myself. In Media Pro: File>Open Recent>Catalog Finder-->opens a list of all catalogs, including those from Expression Media. You can then open individual catalogs and save them in MP. This obviates the need to recreate whole catalogs within MP. I would prefer that there were a simple "Import Catalogs" option, but I cannot find one.
With the exception of MP's difficulty scanning TIFFS, I am finding it to be quite acceptable as a cataloging program. I have a couple of suggestions:
1. Provide a small preview window to get a larger view of any particular image in the catalog. I know that you can view this under the Media tab, but having the preview on the same page as the thumbnails would be even better.
2. Provide a Catalog Library tab, so that one can see a list of all catalogs within MP itself. This would be analogous to the Library tab in Capture One and a huge improvement over going through File>Open Catalog, which then opens a Finder window (on a Mac).

I have since discovered Light Table, which serves the purpose but is very slow at rendering on my 5 year old Mac.
