question about output
When you process an image variant what are the correct settings so that when you view the outputted image whether it is tiff or jpg that it looks exactly the same on the monitor as it did for the variant on the monitor before it was processed.
DO I use the camera profile or SRGB or Adobe etc?

It depends which program is used to view the output. Your safest bet is sRGB because when no color management is applied by the viewing application, sRGB is assumed. Note that for use at the internet and in a web browser, sRGB is the standard.
When you view the output in a color managed application like CO6, Photoshop and many others, the color space profile is used to translate proper color to the monitor.
And for best results a calibrated monitor is helpful as well.0
