Annotations Tool Missing ?

    Always the way isn't it; you post a query and then find the answer out immediately afterwards.

    I went to Window>Create Floating Tool and it was there...

    Maybe it's because you reloaded a workspace from a previous version ?

    You may need to "Default" the Workspace to see it (Annotations can be found in the 11 Default space in the Metadata tab). Remember to save your existing space before you do this!

    Workspace options can be found in the menu Window > Workspace.

    I did, thanks; I'll re-save this as my default.

    I didn't think of that (obviously)... hangs head in shame...

    An alternative way to proceed:

    1. Use the "I" shortcut to engage the annotations cursor.
    2. Right-click in the viewer to call up the annotation settings tool.

    Speedier than looking up the tool on a tooltab in my opinion.
