    hi,
first you select the files you want to delete, then you press the delete key. They are placed in the trash folder of your session. If you want to permanently delete those files, you just go to the menu File>> Empty Trash or session trash full ? (not sure about translation, I have a french version : corbeille session pleine)

or you can just hit Shift + Command + Delete key to delete permanently.

When you want to delete an image from Album, you might have noticed that deleting it only removes the image from the Album, not from Capture One.
In addition to that it is important to know whether you work in a session or a catalog.

Deleting image from an Album in a Session
Starting simple with one image, you need to know the folder the image in the Album came from. Note that you can collect images in an Album from different disk folders.
You can best right-click on the image and select "Show Parent Folder in Library". I do not understand the 'parent' part, but that does not matter. It shows the same image but now from the folder, not the Album. You can delete it (File menu, or shortcut).

Deleting image from an Album in a Catalog
Again starting simple with one image, again right-click on the image and select "Show Parent Folder in Library". Note that this is only possible for referenced images, that is imported from their current location outside the catalog. For imported images inside the catalog this option is greyed out (unfortunately). The folder location is now selected. Next, delete the image from the File menu or through a shortcut.
