Catalog Keyword Transfer
Hello. I started using Capture in 2016, and created a catalog for that year. I would like to create a separate catalog for 2017. Is there a way to transfer all of my created Keywords from one Catalog to another?

It worries me a bit that no-one has replied to this. The answer seems obvious - but maybe I'm wrong so proceed with caution.
In the Metadata tab, next to "Catalog Keywords", there are the usual three dots. Click on that and you will find options to export and import keywords. So export the keywords from your '16 catalogue and then import them into your 2017 catalogue.
Alternately, you can create a template from your 2016 catalogue (see under File). I think that includes the keyword set.
Hopefully, someone better informed than me will confirm or correct this.

Thanks for the information. I just went through this creating a new catalog for 2017.
After I exported the keywords from the 2016 catalog to a text file and then imported it, a .cokeywordsdb file was created in ~/Library/Application Support/Capture One/Keywords
So I seems that once you import a keyword library it will show up automatically in any new catalogs you create since it is in ~/Library/Application Support/Capture One/Keywords
You can import other available libraries like CVKC-lightroom and LR Foundation V2 General for instance.0 -

Thank you! This worked perfectly.[quote="uptownguydenver" wrote:

I did not see a file created in the Library, but I'm not too worried about that. The Text file works just fine.0 -
There is quite a long section on Keywords, Libraries and management of them in the on line help.
It has not been mentioned here so far as I can tell.
Here's a link in case it proves useful to people in the future .(Link for V10 - something similar exists for V9 and presumably will also exist for future versions.)
