how do I designate CS5 as preferred editing tool?

Can't find the place that let's me change from CS4 to CS5.

    How do you mean?
    If you always want specific files to Open with CS5 just right click on the type of file (tiff for example) and choose, Get Info. In that preference window you can choose the Default program that file opens with, choose CS5 and apply that change to all files and you're all set.
