Unable to upgrade?
I've found Capture One a superior product over Lightroom for many years.
However, Lightroom has closed the gap considerable I think; and I also want to utilize a catalog which is integrated in Lightroom but not in Capture One.
The Capture One 7 came across. There's but one tiny little detail: ordering means paying through the DIBS service which is housed in Europe. None of my US banks support paying over the border anymore; Bank of America simply cancels my card (extremely inconvenient) and Valley National merely blocks it; at least I can simply unblock it with a phone call. Basically, I cannot order C1; contacting P1 basically resulted in an "well that's not really our problem" answer.
So, Lightroom 4.3 or Capture One 7? Since they'll both cost me $100 and Lightroom I can actually *get* (unlike C1) the choice is simple. But I enjoyed using C1 for many years.

The problem must lie with your card, my BOA card worked just fine last month. PhaseOne is not the only out of country software, I use several Austrailian products and pay those with a BOA card as well.
You could, of course, without changing your card...purchase from one of several PhaseOne US dealers....0
