Feature Request: WB Preview using Eye-Dropper
The White Balance preview using the eye-dropper, currently seen in Lightroom 3 is freakin' awesome. I hope C1 gets something like this ASAP! For those who haven't used it....it's like gliding over your image with the eye dropper, and getting a real-time preview of the WB you would get "if" you clicked where your mouse is. It's simple, but it's brilliant.

Like we had in Capture One 3?

I suppose that is what the OP meant (need to check that out in a LR3 demo once). 0 -
Yes Drew, exactly like that. So does this feature STILL exist in version 5 pro? or did it get removed? 0 -
It's gone the way of the buffalo... but I don't see any reason we couldn't persuade the programmers to bring it back. 0 -
It would be very useful, Drew. 0 -
It's incredibly useful, and artistically fun...we need more tools like that! I really, really hope they bring it back soon! I love C1 and it would be awesome if it had this feature back. 0 -
Dutifully noted. Could one of you do me the honor of creating a support case referencing this thread so that I can submit this properly? 0 -

Paul,
Thank you kindly. The request has been submitted to the developers by James, keep your fingers crossed!0 -
Hey thanks Drew and Paul! That's cool that Phase One developers would listen to users so closely!
I don't want to start another thread just to blather on but...I just gotta say that C1 is awesome beyond belief and it has changed my freakin' life. I just spent 3 entire years of my life trying to figure out how another photographer who I love got such great color, so for me to finally understand what C1 was doing is a massive relief. I feel like I can go a just "take pictures" again (like before I became obsessed with PP) and know what color I'm going to get. I hate to use the phrase 'film-like', but somehow C1 manages to give digital files natural color. My pictures look like 'photos' now, instead of 'captures', and for me it is the biggest deal in the world. Anyway, just wanted to give a HUGE thanks to the developers!! Seriously, thank you guys.0 -

Joseph,
Take a look at the Advanced Noise Reduction tool too... just one more step in getting "Captures" to look like "Photo's".

As long as you're using Pro...
(Just sayin', Drew! 😉)0 -
