Imac 5K 2017 for C1 ?

Do you think the new iMac 2017 (with an i7, 32Go RAM and RX580 8Go) will be ok for C1 v10 ? (for D800 .NEFs and D820 in the future;-) )

By Ok, I mean I want a brushing lag-free experience with multiple layers as I don't do post in PS (or Affinity Photo for me), and total responsiveness of all cursors.

There were a lot of problems with the 2015 model with underpowered GC for such a big screen, have they been resolved ?

Today, I use a hack as a main machine : an old Q9400 oc @3.2 8Go RAM and a Radeon 7970 GHz Edition 3Go. Export is really fast with openCL, but drawing masks can often lag. (with a bi-screen config : a 1920x1200 and a 1600x1200). Laptop is a macbook air 2012, but it only serves for tethering shooting in the studio.

  I have a i5 latest 5K iMac. I Split my Fusion drive into 120G Flash and 2G spindle. I have 32G Ram and only 2G video Ram.
  Not the machine I wanted but I had an offer for 30% off and I had to take less video ram and the i5. It was a fair deal.
  
  For me Im running the latest C1. I would say Im happy with the masking on several layers. Performance is fairly smooth. Its not smooth like Afinity, but other than that I work with it and happy.
  
  I was running my monitor at the MAX resolution as well. I have since dropped it back to what apple calls OPTIMAL resolution and the performance seems a bit better as well.
  
  I would say you will be happy.
  
  that said my next upgrade I think will be that new iMac Pro. Now thats going to be a serious upgrade.
  
  Oh my Catalog and photos are on external Thunderbolt 1 Promise Raid 5 box that has 4 spindles.

  What mac OS Sierra or El cap are you running and I assume your using Caps 10 correct?
