Smoother Text in IView Media Pro vs. Expression Media 2
hi all,
I'm a long-time IView MediaPro user (on an Intel Mac using 10.6). I downloaded Expression Media 1 and never really used it. Kept looking for DAM alternatives over the past few years, but never came up with anything I remotely liked as much, so I'm THRILLED that Phase One has bought the software from Microsoft.
One thing I noticed is that with some jpegs I have in my catalogues, IView MediaPro displays smoother text in the jpeg than Expression Media 2. Is this a preference setting that I can't find? I'm still using my trust old IView because of this problem.
[Hmmm... wanted to upload some screencaps to show the difference, but guess you can't upload pics to this forum.]
Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Okay, I know my first post was vague, which I'm sure is why it got no responses, but I've narrowed down what the problem is. In IView MediaPro, if under Preferences-->Media Rendering-->Image, if I change the Rendering settings they have an effect. If I change the Rendering setting to Bicubic, when I look at an image with text in a gallery, the text looks smoother. Better.
But if I do the same thing with Expression Media 2, change to Bicubic, the text remains rough. Changing from Bicubic to Bilinear to Nearest Neighbor and back again doesn't seem to change the appearance of the image at all. It's as if these settings are not working.
I'm on an Intel Mac using 10.6.4.
Any suggestions? Thanks.0
