disappeared adjustments

After having downloaded and installed the CaptureOne 7.1 Pro, some subfolders created in CaptureOne 7.0x Pro disappeared. I have reimported the subfolder to the catalog, but the adjustments to the photos do not appear. Is there a way to cope with this? Is the backup useful somehow? How do I activate it?
