There's a DOS script that will delete the .cop preview files when run- search this forum.

However, I use http://eraser.heidi.ie/, scheduled to delete .cop files every so often as these can seen use gigabytes of space, and random litter your hard drive. Perhaps one day Phase One will build some housekeeping into Capture One...

To delete C1 preview files in Eraser - settings

    Task:
    • Recurring

    Data:
    • Files in folder (select search subfolders): D:\Photographs\ (or wherever you store your photos)
    • Include mask: *.cop

    Create new task in Scheduler:
    • Select "File"
    • Select "Use wildcards" and "Include subfolders"
    • Type D:\Photographs\*.cop (use your own folder structure!)

On the Schedule tab, set your schedule.

You can use whatever location for your photos - it will search subfolders, so you can simply put in the name of a hard disk. Or if you have photos on more than one disk, create two tasks instead of one.

The programme uses a clever search algorithm so searches are quick and don't use too much of PC resources when running.
