C1Pro7 starts 'updating camera list' at inconvenient times.
This has been happening about a dozen times per day lately: a progress bar pops up saying 'updating camera list'. This is highly annoying because everything stops working while C1Pro is doing this and I have to stop shooting if I'm working tethered. It also happens when reviewing images with clients and during other tasks, which means I have to keep people waiting while my software is locked up.
How do I turn this off? I'm on the latest version of C1Pro7 (7.1.3).

Please try with another cable. This is likely to an issue connected to a loose connection.0 -
This issue started happening to me today for the first time. I was shooting tethered when suddenly it popped up and I lost shots. I could see where a bad cable/ lousy /loose connection might be the cause BUT, it also happened when we came back from lunch, opened the laptop and the C-1 software became active. Camera was totally off so doubt the cable had anything to do with it. There was NO active connection between the two. Something tells me it's not just a cable connection.

Mine has been doing that as well since the latest update. Mine only occurs when I turn off my camera. It also happens with multiple cables. Sounds more like an update issue than a cable issue. It's more of an annoyance than a problem, although it could turn into one if it starts happening during shooting. 0 -
I've been having this issue too on 7.1.3 and Mac 10.6.8 - multiple times a day. 0 -
The progress panel that indicates "Refreshing camera list" should only come in 2 cases:
1: the process that sits between Capture One and the camera exited for some reason and Capture One needs to restart it
2: camera was disconnected (either went to sleep or was turned off or its cable was pulled) and Capture One needs to reinitialize the process that manages cameras
This is a normal action in order for Capture One to keep a good connection with the cameras when they are reconnected.
But if this has particular side effects that negatively affect your workflow, we'd like to hear more about it to improve the product through a support case.0 -
I have run into this issue ever since I moved my tethering solution to a Macbook Pro Retina. It is constantly disconnecting for me as well. I ordered a new tethering cable to determine if that's the problem but so far it's very difficult to work around. ☹️ 0 -

I have tried several different FW800 cables, including a brand new one. Same deal.0
