Duplicate images

Somehow on one folder included in my Media Pro catalog, it has duplicate entries for the files. Find duplicate items identifies them. But then there is a choice between showing them so that you can compare and removing them. Removing them seems to remove both copies of the file. Showing them shows me what I already knew.

I thought that I could use the remove option to just remove one of the two copies. (They both point to the same source file.)

Am I doing something wrong. (And ... constant complaint: why is the Help file so hopeless? I can't see where it covers the Find Duplicates function at all!)
