Sidecar XMP Data Getting Loaded after Deleted
So I have an issue where I delete the keywords from a picture but when I reload the metadata the keywords show up again. These pictures originated from a Lightroom Library and I have brought them over the Capture One. At one time they may have been embedded into the picture itself (can't remember) but they are loaded as a sidecar now. I have tried a couple of different methods to removed the keywords but can't seem to get it to work. I have contacted Capture One (6 months ago) and they said this is a bug in the Windows version because it works correctly in the Mac version (or so I am told) There have been 2 major updates since I brought this error up and neither version has fixed this issue. Every time a new version is introduced I verify the issue is not fixed and responded to Capture One on the status. Their response is that the issue is not a top priority as there have only been 2 cases reported of this. I am just wanting to reach to see if anyone else has had this issue and may have a way to fix it or to see if others also have this issue and to get people to submit a ticket to get this issue elevated.

I also struggled with keywords that I absolutely could not delete, but eventually I found a solution. Have a look at the following thread, last post, to see if that will help you:

I tried it with a couple of images but is there a quicker way to do this. i have a bunch of images across a bunch of folders and I don't want to have to edit the .cos file for every single image on these. Just wondering. Seems like a huge hassle. 0
