Deleting multiple files

When I delete multiple files the browser reverts from my chosen 'sort by date' to 'sort by name.' A small irritation but still drives me nuts. How do I stop this?

  Not able to replicate this. Perhaps share more details (OS X and CO 6 version, consistent?, number of images deleted, deleted permanently or trash only)?

  I was wrong, let me correct things!
  When I delete multiple files from the browser I'm usually viewing the last image in that session. When the files have been moved to the trash (I select a number of them and hit the delete back button on the Mac), the image being viewed changes to the first one in the session. I find this annoying and why does it happen as it never used to.
  I'm using a:
  MacBook Pro 2.33GHz Intel Core Duo
  3 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
  Capture One Pro 6.0.1
