Transfer Event Date -> EXIF date
I have several thousand scanned images. When I was starting this project, I learned a bunch about all the different date fields. Most of it didn't stick in my brain, and it certainly isn't there now. I understand that the EXIF dates are those assigned by digital cameras; I went thru some process to force thru the 'date of intellectual content' to some, but not all of the images
I have allocated dates to my images using EM's Date Finder.
When I use Jalbum to create a web based HTML gallery, (the Chameleon skin), the only date that seems to be utilized is the EXIF date....
Can anyone suggest a script or other method to transfer Event Dates to EXIF date so that the images will sort properly in Jalbum?

Hello Marion,
Probably you can use Exiftool for this, I found some interesting entries:
On this blog from Hans Loepfe i read how he wanted bring information from the EM2 database into the Exif fields. In his situation it was about geodata but it's the same principal.
On this site more input about scripting EM2/Exiftool:
I'm not a developer so I can not help you with finetuning these scripts but maybe another one on this forum?

I'm aware of ExifTools
I've used it in the past
If I remember correctly, it either doesn't work with mac, or there wasn't enough of a UI for me to feel comfortable.
I'll look at it again; it was over a year ago that I looked0 -

ExifTool has been my saviour with image processing. I use it both in OS X shell scripts and EM2 AppleSripts. I can make samples available if anyone is interested.0
