Media Pro as a companion?

    Personally, I say no.
Although Media Pro does behave better in cataloging than C1, the way you have to go about opening a Media Pro file in C1 is a little convoluted, in my opinion.
Its no secret that I'm not very happy with C1's catalog. However, I can say it is more fluid in that one can make adjustments and just move on to the next photo.
If you like LR's catalog, I'd just stay with that. Using LR as a catalog, using C1 Sessions as an editor, then moving the edited tiffs back into LR.
The best thing you can do, is try Media Pro and see for yourself. I keep a copy of media pro on my Mac and play with it every now and then, just as a reminder.
