No, users who post here do not have this kind of information. Phase One does. Whether they will communicate their estimate remains to be seen. Contacting them however seems to me the best course of action.

I see people on the Adobe forums are asking similar questions.

The only option Nikon are offering at the moment is their free download software - perhaps that would suffice for a few weeks?

Such are the joys of being an "early adopter". I thought that was well known in the photography marketplace yet the question keeps coming up so perhaps not.

Thanks for your replies Paul and Grant.

I've never been such an early adopter so it didn't even cross my mind that I'd have to wait for RAW support!

Still waiting but I've contacted Phase One who've said there will be support very soon. Got Nikon's software for the meantime...

Early adoption is always a bit of a gamble John.

The joy of having something bright and shiny and right up to date on the technology front.

Also the concern about possible problems not yet identified and, for RAW shooters, when the preferred RAW converters will support the files and how acceptable one will find the results for one's personal requirements.

Other than my first film SLR a long time ago I don't think I have ever bought new. Certainly not "latest and greatest".

When tempted I always tell myself to wait at least 6 months so that any problems will have appeared and been dealt with (probably) and the price is likely to have stabilised at a sensible level. An added benefit is that the RAW convertors will be released and any tweaks to the first efforts will likely have been applied by then. Aggravation and frustration avoided but "bragging rights" about the new shiny object would be greatly diminished!
