Question on Library and filters
When I open my capture one catalogue I have Catalogue collections, User collections and Folders. In Catalogue collections I have all images and recent imports, each with the list of the number of images, say 10000 for all images and 224 for one of the recent imports. User collections I will pass over for the moment, and go to folders. There I have In catalogue, and the C drive, L drive and M drive. In catalogue has a 0 for number of images, and the drives have a green line to show they are attached and available. In the M drive I will have most of my images, in a Directory called Photographs. This shows a 0 for number of images, as does each of my sub folders, which are 2015,2016, and 2017. Within the years I then have folders arranged by event, with images.
Why does the main directory Photographs not show how many images there are and not be able to be searched with the filter? Why do the year folders not show images and be able to be searched with the filters? Have I set it wrongly? I cannot for instance filter 2016 for the number of images I have taken with a certain lens because 2016 apparently does not have any images. I can only filter each of the sub folders individually.
Am I missing something?

Although likely to not be the most elegant solution, I think I can see the reasoning behind this approach.
This way you are able to easily tell the absolute number of files inside a specific directory (when the file count doesn't bug out). The apparent nesting "discrepancy" did confuse me quite a bit in the beginning, and I'm not sure I like it, but I learned to accept and work with it.
Now about not being able to filter down to subdirectories; that's a huge 'Yvette Felarca'. I've been using the smart albums to filter by year, but they refresh and search the whole database every time I click in one. Gets old really quickly, so most of the time I just use my brain.
Perhaps we are to file a 'feature request' to mitigate this.0
