I can't help you on this, I am afraid. I use Photo Mechanic for importing, renaming, and metadata (unless I have IIQ images).

Yes, everything except the IIQ files. Looks like I will be purchasing a PM license.

This may be a bit off topic, but worth a shot....

I've emailed Camera Bits about PM's inability to render .iiq thumbnails a couple times, but they have not responded with a clear answer. I was hoping with the recent release of version 5 they could figure it out, but alas no such luck.

Hasselblad raw files .fff are also not readable by PM.

Does anyone know if this is a PhaseOne issue? Are they not creating standard jpeg thumbnails for other programs to read. Is this just software ineptitude on the part of the makers of Photo Mechanic ignoring the Medium format market. Or is it something about the MF digital format that makes it difficult to render the embedded jpegs.

My .iiq & .fff files will show thumbnails in finder, albeit a bit slower to render than other raw file types.

IIQ files seem to render a lot faster in C1 and those .fff files, you might as well just go to Phocus.

Does PM have a list of compatible files in their notes?

Capture One (for Mac) has a Quick Look built into the program. I don't know how PM render's images but other small software companies use our Quick Look to show IIQ previews. It seems to work quite well so if it's possible for PM to use it, they are welcome to do so.
