C1 11 is fine but what about the remaining bugs in C1 10?
Forum user Filthy Lucre raises an interesting question:
Given the release of C1 11, what about the bugs that remain in C1 10?
The bug discussed by Filthy Lucre does not bother me personally, but I find that the severe "Undo/Redo bug" of the Curves tool significantly impacts on my workflow. The presence of the bug means that I cannot simply undo a number of steps and then redo them again, any time there is a Curves edit involved in the respective steps.
I do not know whether the "Undo/Redo bug" for Curves has been fixed in C1 11, but in any event, I'd find it rather problematic, if I were forced to upgrade to C1 11 just to have a pretty severe bug removed that should be relatively easy to address.
I'd say for cases like this -- were bugs severely impact the workflow of users -- there should be a bug fix upgrade for an older version, rather then pointing users to a new version.
FWIW, if C1 11 offered a fix for the "Low Quality Previews" issue then I'd upgrade to C1 11 in a heartbeat. In this case, I'd say C1 10 took a somewhat defensible engineering decision regarding previews and I wouldn't expect an improved design to be part of a free upgrade. I feel, however, that clearly broken behaviour, like the "Undo/Redo bug" for Curves should be fixed free of charge.

I absolutely agree to this. Such bugs should be fixed also in older Versions. 0
