You can do this quite easily. When the import dialog box comes up, in the naming section type the letter X, and then select a counter token, four digits or however many you want. Click on the ... and choose the option that says "set import counter". You can set the start number to whatever you like. You can delete any other tokens.

It's the same in C1 except that the Import option does not have the option, as far as I can see, for your preferred setting of the first one or two digits of the sequential number.

Depending in the number of files you are about to import you might be able to set the first digit and then use a 3 digit sequential. Setting the first 2 digits and then a 2 digits sequential may, or may not, be limiting depending upon how many images you are about to import.

Interestingly the Capture function does allow one to specify a start number fr the digital sequence. So presumably the apparent lack of such an option for Import is simply an oversight or the designers could not think of a reason for needing a start sequence number (other than as I have suggested above) for an import form a card or alternative storage facility.

I would suggest you create a Support Case and be sure to include "Enhancement Request" in the title line in order to highlight the design anomaly (between capture and import) to the P1 support and development team.
