    Jim C.,

I'll assume that you are using the Custom and/or Auto White Balance in-camera settings. These are poor settings to use with Capture One. Auto because the K temp can be quite variable with each capture, and Custom because the data is encrypted and not read by Capture One. Therefore, the software makes a best guess at the WB for the shot. Nikon has now released their files. Therefore, we plan to fix this in the next release; and so this situation will improve greatly.
For now, it is better to set the camera to one of the Preset choices for consistentcy, and then bring images into Capture One. With the ability to capture a Macbeth or true grey card as first image of a shoot or to select a neutral area within an image, and then to apply the settings to all other images captured under the same lighting conditions is just way too easy. And for that matter, as accurate or better than the in-camera WB capabilities.

    See the Tips & Tricks article: http://www.phaseone.com/Content/Softwar ... lance.aspx

I think you will get much better color results with this workflow.
Please let us know how this goes for you and if you have any further questions.

    Sincerely,
    kc
