Shoot Phase One back and you will not have a problem 😄

I have always been a supporter of your company and have waited in the background very, very quietly and patiently like thousands of other professional photographers and digital assistants for a more reliable version of version 4 to come along, always keeping the faith that you would deliver...

I will also say that your process quality is the best there is.

However, I find your response to Andreas's post quite unbelievable. Go buy a Phase One back? Are you kidding?

Get the BASICS of your software working properly.

Concentrate on letting me shoot 200 tethered frames from a Canon 1DS Mk2 (Firewire) or Mk3 (USB), into C1 Pro 4V** without it crashing at the same time an AD, buyer and 3 other client reps are looking over my shoulder wanting to view their images...

I've had multiple crashes all day, every day shooting mail order fashion with the above configurations.

Have you any idea how embarrassing it is?

You had it so right with V3, why did you have to change so much?

How many of us need to post before you finally think "hmmmm, maybe we need to do something here before we no longer have any satisfied customers..."

Sorry, I was more being jokingly ironic regarding the camera back comment.

This issue has nothing to do with Phase One, it is a Mac OS bug, you have the very same issue shooting in to Canon EOS Capture.

Mac OS bug? hmmm - I'm getting the same deal on windows and DON'T get it when using EOS capture.

And funny how on earlier versions the OS bug didn't cause problems...just pondering out loud 😕

Have done a Firmware update to 1.1.4 on Canon 1DS Mk3 and I think it solved the problem.
Have filled buffer aggressively with over 200 Captures and no crash so far.
    Didn't work that well before.
Let's see in the real world with a job to get through. . . .

When Apple sped-up the USB bus in 10.5.6 they accidently made a memory leak in the ImageCapture extension. It seems that Apple has corrected their mistake with 10.5.7. It is true, the Canon Mark III tethering problems were an Apple glitch, not Capture One.
P.S. Why would anyone do a job with software they have not tested, especially a job with the client looking over your shoulder. If C1 v3.7.9 works use it for jobs until you have tested v4.x and made sure it works for your workflow.
