Purple Lines in 4.0

I processed the same image in 3.7.8 and 4.0, My blown out highlights in 4.0 have purple streaks in the image. I don't know if this has been documented, but it is seems a problem that needs to be fixed.
I am attaching two images, one in 4.0 one in 3.7.8

  does anybody have an explanation of this or should I just wait until 4.1 is released and hope that the problem has been addressed.

  We currently have R&D working on this problem for certain cameras in 4.0.1. Can you tell me what raw files you are seeing it on?
