keystone correction - default amount to 100%

Hi everyone,

Is there a way to having the "Amount" value in the Keystone Tool default to 100% instead of 80%. I understand why 80% might be useful, but for my purposes, it means to always manually correct the "Amount" slider to 100% after using the Keystone tool (which, by the way, makes the "Apply" button in the middle of the image show up again in the middle of the image...)

    Anybody know? This drives me crazy having to change to 100% every time!

    I remember an older video on C1 settings and this was done on purpose.
    100% tends to look unrealistic, so they default to 80% to keep a bit of perspective.

    This is indeed by design, as it looks a little more pleasing.

    However, if you are using the 4-sided keystone tool, it defaults to 100 %. It is only with the vertical and horizontal keystone tools that it defaults to 80%.

    Thanks - I understand the reasons for 80%. There are also reasons for using 100%: setting a column of text against a vertical line, aligning w/ edge of image, matching a constructed perspective drawing, etc.

    So, is it possible to change this or not? I see a preset/style can be saved, but still has to be manually applied?

    I'd wondered about suggesting that as a solution too. But then it occurred to me that it would only work if you could be sure of moving the markers exactly parallel to the top and the bottom of the frame. Otherwise you would introduce some horizontal adjustment as well as the vertical adjustment, wouldn't you?

    I'd suggest either (1) using the slider in the keystone tool (combined with guides if desired) or (2) just lining up the lines and then changing it to 100% after hitting Apply. Unless you are correcting verticals all day every day, it's not a lot of extra work, though I can see that being able to tick a box to apply 80% or 100% as default might be a nice extra feature.

    Agreed Ian but alan_b made a reference to a preset and that sort of suggests that at least some of the work might be adjusted by using a preset, maybe a slight mod for one image and then copy to several others.

    If not then I can imagine a very frustrating workflow no matter which approach one takes.

    It must be possible to set up a default grid line set up to make it easier to use the 4 sided version. Saved as a workspace?

    There's a new request for the same here. This really is incredibly annoying and should be so easy to change.
