A single user licence is exactly that: The software for 1 person. But it allows 1 person to activate up to 3 personal devices - in most cases thats a location laptop, a studio machine and one other (back up laptop maybe). The single user should only use one machine at a time according to the EULA.

The multi user keys allow multiple users - workgroups or companies - to use the Software for multiple profiles (different activating profiles) and run those activations sequentially (all machines at once). This is what you need for your students assuming you are all going to be using Capture One together in a learning environment.

The alternative is each user in the group has their own key.

Like Christian says, if you need help beyond this - contact sales, or make a support case and we'll be happy to guide you.
