How to export >1 photo
Hi everyone. I am new at this and using the free express version for my Sony camera. I have used lightroom for many years and exporting was simply choosing a few photos or all photos in the range and then exporting. With C1, I have finally found how to export all photos within a folder by right clicking on the folder on the left column where folders are listed. BUT I cannot export all of them by using Ctrl A or choosing a few photos with the shift key plus mouse click. It shows that x number of photos have been chosen just above the film strip at the bottom of the window, but it keeps on only allowing me to only export 1 photo at a time if I right click on any of the photos within the chosen range and choosing export > variants. I have tried this probably a dozen times, restarted the computer, uninstalled and reinstalled C1 express and it keeps on doing this. Is this a limitation because this is free software? Thanks.

Hi,
definitely no limitation related to the version.
The usual term in C1 for creation of an output file is "Process" and simply done by hitting the gear wheel symbol in the top right section of the screen. This works also for multiple images selected and executes all corrections and adjustments made to the image(s) - which also could be "none" if the image was only openend with the defined profile but no further changes were made to the image. Edit: When muliple images are being processed they are written to a batch list and you can check the advance by changing in the left side tool sets to the "Batch" symbol - three gear wheels.
You may check though in advance in the "output" toolset (gear wheel symbol in the left sided tool sets) what are the defined processing and output folder definitions (such like desired file format, compressing rate, a certain pixel size or full, ICC profile, the inclusion of not of the meta data, the insertion of a watermark or not, the output location etc.)
I'm not familiar with LR but I suppose that both terminology and steps to perform differ a bit.0 -
In addition to selecting multiple images in the Browser, you also need to have the "Edit All Selected Variants" option set.
This can be done in the Edit menu, or by using the icon on the toolbar that consists of 3 rectangles in a stack.

I'm not familiar with the Express implementation but according to the available documentation only Export is available, not "Process".
Running Export on the Pro version if I have multiple images selected but AND "Edit all selected variants" active the process goes straight to the window that allows me to define the Export Location, Export Naming and a single Export Recipe. I will assume that all selected images are to be exported.
If "Edit all ....." is NOT set but multiple images are selected a separate window pops up to ask whether the export is for one image (the current primary selection) or all selected.
The same routine applies whether initiated by a right click or from the menu.
Export Originals works the same way but with a slightly different output purpose.
Is the Express implementation different?
