It was suggested that I post this here as there doesn't seem to be any mention of it, and because the X-T3 is so new maybe this has not been picked up on yet as it probably not a mode used much.

Anyway, there seems to be a problem with certain RAW files taken with the X-T3 and processed in Capture One 11. I say this as I have checked the files with SILKYPIX software and they are fine (as to are the JPG taken at the same time.

    Anyway..

On the X-T3 do the following:

Under shooting settings Turn Sports Finder Mode ON
    Take some photos in RAW
    Import into Capture One 11

On import all of the images appear completely purple - something that doesn't happen with any other images

Correcting the white balance to get rid of the purple (but it's impossible to get the colours right) shows terrible banding etc. I'm guessing this is because of the crop that is applied in camera for the Sports Finder mode.

Can someone test the above or advise on solution ?

    What is Sports Finder mode?

    What does it do?

Sports finder mode basically uses a reduced area of sensor, adding a crop. When you're shooting and looking at the screen or EVF you see the entire picture with a frame in the middle which is the image that you will take. It gives you the crop but also because of the border you can see objects move into the frame when shooting which is handy for moving subjects.

Well, there are no notes about this being an unsupported mode in the Version 11.3 Release Notes so I suggest the best course of action would be to create a Support Case and get the capture One support team to advise you.

Out of interest are you using the free Express version of the Fuji Pro version (or the full Pro version perhaps?)

We are aware of the issue, and looking into a fix.
The same also goes for ES 1.25x crop mode.

    I can’t give an ETA.

Thats good to hear C1 are aware. I have exactly the same thing. Out of 2000 pics imported at the same time, yesterday, 4 are exactly the same as the purple one shown above. RAW, no sport mode or AFC. Full Pro version.

After a quick panic being a new camera, I checked in Silkypix to find they were ok.

Hope the fix is soon !

Thank you for confirming that you are aware of the issue, look forward to the fix at some stage.

Since there seems to be a difference in settings between the OP's problem files and your problem files it would probably be useful to create a Support Case (perhaps with a sample file?) just to ensure that Phase are officially aware of your specific situation too.

I just posted a thread before I saw this one (oops).

I have this issue with photos shot using the 30FPS crop mode as well (sports finder).

    Hi,

I have this 'purple tinted images' problem also and I was using Sports Finder Mode.

Had already submitted a support ticket before to finding this thread.

They acknowledged in my ticket that they are aware of an issue and I should watch for a fix in a future release.

Having the same or similar problem, Fuji X-H1, sports finder mode was NOT on, about 1/3rd of files previously converted to .dng format using Adobe's DNG converter are purple. Very purple.
