New LE user with problems

I downloaded C1LE and activated the software (latest version 3.7.4). Clean install, nothing else running on my system at the time. A exceed the installation req's (on WinXP)

I launched LE and browsed to my CF card. A number of RAW shot with my Canon 300D on it.

Man, sloooooowwwww. Doesn't even finish loading the 20 or so RAW previews before I get ghost windows, NOT RESPONDING etc. I shut all other programs down (just browser windows) and wait, wait, wait and nothing.

I then loaded just one RAW image into a new folder and tried to load that. Still terribly slow. Once it loads when I click on the preview in an attempt to work on it the same things happen...ghost windows, disappearing toolbars etc.

I even uninstalled the latest and downloaded and installed 3.7.3

Anyone else have this problem, or a solution to it?

    CF is a very slow media to work from.
    I suggest you transfer the files to your harddrive and work of the files from there.
    It will give you a much better experiance.
