How to spec a PC for C1? (coming from a Mac)

    figure out the actual budget you can spend is it the $1800 or ?

    god i7 7700k and a 1060 could be built for that with good power supply good storage etc..

    really depends on what iMac you are looking at for that also ?

    this would beat a imac easy but the thing is what else do you do ? and what other programs do you use ?

    switching IMHO is something you have to think about and want to do

    I switched this month to a PC and am happy but I spent quite a bit more and built a system that no mac can compete with at this point

    the iMac is a nice machine a decent monitor and if you are used to the OS and have other programs you use etc.. switching might not be worth it

    list what other programs you use and what you want to do might help others give some thoughts

    Ryzen 5 1600(X) - six cores are great deal for C1 with 16gb RAM and RX480/580GPU and SSD or two.
