Lumix S1 files turn blue when changing exposure
Hi everyone,
I've discovered a strange bug in C1 12.1.4: when changing the exposure of RAW files from my Panasonic Lumix S1 more than +2, the shadows get an extremely blueish hue. The same files brighten up just fine in ACR. Files from my Sony A7 or Leaf Credo 40 don't show this effect in C1. This is not a matter of white balance, which stays the same. Any ideas?
best,
geb

I think you may find other threads and comments about Lumix images in the forum.
Exposure +4 seems a bit extreme though.
The Histogram at the lower end looks a bit imbalanced.
Try setting the preferences for Exposure > Levels Tool > to separate channels and then run an Auto-levels adjustment to see what happens.
Ignore that suggestion if you have already tried it.

Hi Grant,
Thanks for the swift reply! You're right, individually changing the black point for each channel mostly fixes the problem. I still think that this is a bug, it seems that the black points of the different color channels are calculated erroneously. White points stay the same. And doing this with larger numbers of files is quite the PITA...

Could well be a bug.
Good to have a rwady work around though.
Send Phase a Support Case request so that they can make use of your analysis to determine the nature of the problem as broadly as possible and come up with a solution for a future point release.
For you purposes with luck you will be able to work out a widely applicable adjustment without too much effort using the available tools.
Save those tools and setting as a style and you will have, or be very close to having, an almost instant fix for the problem.
Use it as a layer so that, when the C1 fix comes in, you can easily disable/remove your fix if necessary.
HTH.
