Renaming files with Frame number from EXIF
Hello,
new user here (I come from LR6 perpetual — wonder why 🤬 ).
I slowly getting the hang of the software, but there is one thing I don't find.
When I import images into LR I change the name (YYYYMMDD_model_Framenr.ext), however I don't find a way to add the frame-nummer in C1, only the original filename. I don't see it in the EXIF in C1 either (although it shows up in Photomechanic). Am I missing something here? Or is this not implemented (yet)?
thanks!

I don't think there is a Frame_Number in the exif data (at least I couldn't find one).
What you can do is add the counter to the image name, it increments one for every image.0 -

Frame number is related to what?
Video?
Or perhaps some of the recent special camera modes for HDR or similar? I think perhaps some recent Phase backs might be supported for similar multiframe shots but not all cameras.
Or are you writing about some other feature?

Hey Eric,
yes, you're right — I don't see the frame number in EXIFtool, seems PhotoMechanic get's it from the filename itself,
as does Lightroom I suppose.
Still, a pity that we just can't use the number with Batch Rename instead of the whole filename (eg 4556 instead of DSCF4556). I do a S&R now on "DSCF".
thanks!0
