Capture One 3.75 numbering problems
I have exposed and downloaded 3 flash cards onto my newly updated Capture One software, and the naming has gone something like this:
"XYZ_001; XYZ_001.1; XYZ_001.2" for 1st, 2nd and 3rd card respectively.
Apart from the fact that this in itself is annoying, the worst thing about it is that the first frame is the first shot in the first series, followed by the first frame of the second series, the first frame of the 3rd series, then followed by the 2nd frame of the first series etc.
In other words, not only do I end up with funny names and numbers, but they are also in a completely illogical order. Thanks to Damien's idea for renaming thumbnails below, I was able to rename them using iViewMediaPro, by choosing the sorting function and creation date.
While quite prepared to accept that I may be missing something in Preferences, - although I haven't found anything as yet - I wonder why this should occur the first time I use the new version?
Ideas, anyone? I'd be glad to hear from anyone who has had the same problem, and solved it, or can tell me what I need to change.
Thanks in advance,
cheers, Andreweugene

Andrew,
There are many options available to get the exact file names and order you desire without using any other program.
If you set your camera to Continuous rather than Reset when CF card is changed, image files will not be repeated.
Upon inserting a CF card for download, Capture One will launch New Media Detected window and offer to import image files and rename them.
At Preferences > Thumbnails > Sorting images can be arranged by Name, Creation Date, Size etc.
Use the Batch Rename tool: File > Rename
See Knowledge Base article: http://www.phaseone.com/Content/Support ... nguageid=1

Thanks Keith,
I'm sure that will help.
To be fair, I ought to mention I had also just completed the Nikon D2X update, and the reset mode could be a default setting that I need to change.
Cheers, Andrew0
