Capture One 10.2 keep crashing
I am an user of Window Version 10.0.15063 Build 15063. After the recently update of Capture one, when I open the import page, I cannot change any setting, file location, etc. Once I select anything on that page, the program will freeze forever. I tried to restart the company, reinstall the software and even wait for half an hour. Nothing changes. Please assist! I recently purchased the Capture One for Sony and am quite unhappy with this experience. I now cannot do any photo-editing work.

I'd suggest that you put in a support case, and the Phase One staff will probably be able to get you up and running quite quickly.

install an earlier version until they get it fixed 0 -

Yes, but lots of us are finding that 10.2 works fine for us, so it may be a feature of the OP's particular set-up that causes the problem with 10.2 (and that Support could help to resolve) not an inherent issue with 10.2 that is waiting to be fixed.

The problem now exists again, do you know where I can locate the previous versions?0 -

I realize the crashing exists every time I try to import RAW files directly into an external hard-disk. In another word, the program would not crash if I import into local hard-disk.
However, as my internal SSD only has 256gb and large size of RAW files, I then need to cut and paste the imports back to external hard-disk and locate the whole folder again in Capture One Pro.0 -

Gary,
I regularly import directly to an external drive. No problems as long as the drive is awake!
Contact Support for advice.

I have contacted via Email and report the crash almost every time it happens. I am hearing nothing from PhaseOne's staff yet.0 -

C1 support is managed by their Support Case system.
Crash logs are usually generic and anonymised - useful for bulk input of what is happening in the field but no use at all for personalised support in that context.
I'm not aware an email address that will lead to a support case being created.
Go to the Help drop down menu, click on "Contact Support" or whatever it says, log in to your account and create a support case. Be sure you get a response with a case number form the system. If not the log may not be complete - there is a final confirmation step that may overlooked.
Be sure to use the facility to create a system config report and copies of the log files that will be sent in a zip file.
Is your external drive just a disk or is it some sort of NAS?
HTH.
