Profile missing (??????)

I am a Sony user and have generally kept with "Manufactures Profile" in processing my images with the variety of lenses that I have. I have compared the Manufactures Profile with the Sony listed profiles for a specific lens and "visually". Outside of some distortion correction/differences I cannot discern any difference. Other than personal preference are there any specific recommendations one must adhere to?

Secondly, I have the Sony/Zeiss 16-35mm F/4 lens and in under the custom profiles in the Sony category the SAL16-35Z F2.8 is listed but not the F/4 version. Is it a waiting game for the F/4 profile to be made or should I just be satisfied with using the Manufactures Profile for the F/4 version of this lens?
