Variations at session level
In my standard worklflow I create a session with the selected photos from a shooting and then I start to adjust the exposure, wb, contrast/level, rotation and so on... This is my "base version", the more close to reality, that I would save and keep it as is.
Starting from this "base version" I would apply some "style variations" (black and white, film type, styles and similar), virtually the same for all the photos to mantain the same look for all the work.
In C1 now I have two ways to accomplish this:
- the "single approach": create a variation for every photo and apply styles to each one, so I have the "base" version and all over versions "grouped" toghether. But this approach is really slow and is annoying apply or search/delete or modify every single variation.
- the "multiple approach": create a copy of the session folder to have a separate folder/session for each variation group/style. So I can have all the version separated, but a lot of wasted space on disk.
Normally I prefer the second one... But... There's a better way to do this?
Something like create variation for a all/a group of photos in one time, name this group/variation, filter on name or something similar...

Can you use different color tags for base and style variation?
You can apply adjustments to multiple images, if it is always the same adjustment.
Does this help?

Thank you for your answer. This may help but I think isn't an optimal solution, beause require always a part of manual work. I'm looking for something simplier and faster like (in my ideas) "variation sessions" o groups 😊 0 -
Short answer, there is no way to accomplish what you want in current toolchain. 0
