Canon 30D is Not Supported in direct tethering to Capture One

    At Realease Notes for 3.7.7.:
    Known Issues
    > Tethered capture with the Canon EOS 30D and 400D is not supported.

You will need to run the Canon program in background to establish camera connection, and have write-to location be a Capture One Session folder.

    keith,

any plans on including tethering for the 30d? i just bought the software and to my dismay didn't realize the distinction between raw file support and tethered support.

i'm really disappointed. sort of feeling like i wasted my money. is this going to be fixed? i know i'm not the only one who would like this...

    sam,

Remain content in your purchase... it certainly isn't wasted money to now own the RAW program that will get the best possible image quality from your 30D.
As far as we know, direct tethered support is being worked on for the PRO Upgrade. No further information has been issued.

It is possible to tether indirectly into Capture One.
Using the Canon program to establish connection; and operating in the background, images can be written into a Capture One Session.

thanks keith. i have used the run around by also using the canon software. it works but of course isn't as good as tethering directly. i love the software and am glad to hear that tethering should be included in the next upgrade.

    i appreciate the response.

what about canon eos 400d? will support be integrated in the next upgrade, too?
i just bought capture one pro and it's the same with me, i didn't realize the distinction between raw file support and tethered support.
tethered support was one the main reasons i bought this software. after i bought it had to ind out that there a problems with 400d tethering and leopard, so it's twice as much bad for me ☹️ but the 400d tethering support is more important to me.
i spent 500 euro and now a have to wait ☹️
so will the canon 400d be support in the next upgrade?
    hope you can help me.

When 30D is implemented the 400D will as well when they are part of the same components package from Canon.
