Why are no Pro Graphics cards (FirePro) on recommended list?

On paper they seems like they should work but we only recommend what we have tested and can confirm.
The AMD FirePro cards cover a much smaller market share and thus are not among the standards we would purchase and test.
If we get many requests to test such a card we can purchase it, verify it's operation and add it to the list.

    Thanks Drew,

So you seem to be saying that a FirePro card may well allow OpenCL acceleration to Capture One, but it has simply not been tested. I understand it probably won't have the raw speed of the highest power Radeon Gaming cards, but will likely give me both 10bit and some Open CL acceleration?

    Thanks

    It's possible.
I can't say for sure when only looking at spec sheets but with the right drivers and the right resources it should work.

    Hi,

The FirePro Cards operates in any case.

Whether Capture One supports the 10bit pipeline I can not say.

As far as I know only Photoshop supports 10bit.

The AMD W8000 I've tested, it is just as fast as the GTX Titan when exporting.

Would you faster Export or edit you have to get a W9000, HD 7970 GHZ or a R9 290X <-(NEW AMD RADEON Flagship, 30% to 40% faster than HD 7970).
