1DS MKIII
Has anyone had the chance to test out the 1Ds MKIII with C1 Pro 4? Going to upgrade tomorrow, just wondering how tethered support was and if workflow will now hopefully speed up?

4.5 seems to tether nicely with my 1DsIII. The only issues I have had seem to be related to having Canon Utilities installed on my machine. When connecting the camera, C1 and CU fight for control and it isn't pretty. After disabling Canon Utilities, everything 'seems' to be fine. Time will tell.

Just an update:
I shot tethered with the 1DsIII and 4.5 Pro all morning in the studio......never a glitch.
It's really working very well.
With a little polish, this one will be a winner.
Well done, Phase.

Shot all day with the 1Ds MK III today on location, noticed a couple things, white balance seems to be difficult to save so that incoming captures will all have the same numbers, also the crop tool seems to be a bit flaky, works well sometimes, but other times, doesn't work at all. Also numbering Files seemed to not be able to reset itself for a new job, it just picked up where the job before it left off. Also I minimized the entire window and it would not come back from the dock. Just a few things I noticed today, but it sure is a lot better than working with EOS Utility and the old c1 pro together, so I am happy with it, just a few bugs to work out.

This issue is a Mac OS issue. If you upgrade to 10.5.5, it should go away.

works flawlessly with a single 15' usb cable
when we string together two 15' using a repeater, C1 4.5 frequently hangs in the middle of a capture
so we use EOS capture at that point, which works fine with our double string of cables0
