D810 & LiveView
Hello,
I've been testing out the D810 as a replacement for the D800, but live-view currently is very buggy. It's about as bad as when the D800 was first released, but thankfully C1 v8 is much more stable and the live-view crash does not crash the whole program! I've tried it on a 2012 MacBook Air & MBP, both with same results. My 2012 MBP is also setup to run Windows 7 64bit and testing there generates a live-view crash almost immediately. This is kind of odd because at least back when C1 v7 was released I could always get stable live-view if I ran the software from windows (for D800).
The good news is I have been avoiding updating the v7 software and OSX for over a year because of live-view stability issues on the Mac, but running v8 now with updated Mavericks I get very good live-view for D800, very stable! But if using the D810 it likes to crash pretty quickly especially if utilizing the hand tool and double clicking to get 100% view.
Is this a known bug with a possible fix coming soon?

We are aware of some unintentional behavior with the D810 live-view. We will addressing those in a future service update. 0 -
Excellent, will look forward to testing the new updates! 0
