Missing ICC profiles on import.

When importing images I get the event dialogue box to open with the notice that the images were missing the ICC profile.
After import is successful I look at the basic metadata and it states the files are in Adobe98. This is annoying but I can ignore it, but would like to resolve it, if anybody has an idea.

    Just select all images, select Edit->Edit All selected Elements, go to ICC profile tab and change to a correct camera.
    BTW, what camera files this issue occurs. It happened to me ones with Nikon files, but manually fixing it solved problem.

    Do you mean "Edit->Edit All selected Variants" but if I choose that no window appears with a tab for ICC profile. Whats strange is that all the images do have a profile when I look in the metadata tool. Thanks for helping!
