d 750 support?
Hi guys,
I am still on C1 7.x, I read so much about problems and crashes with C1 8 that I have not upgraded yet because I have still to edit some 2014 weddings.
Now I got the Nikon D750 and the RAW is (of course) not supported. Does C1 8 has RAW support for the D750?
If not, when is it coming?
cheers,
heiko

Ha, support!
I am a burnt child in this regard. Support here in Germany is crap, worst experience ever. They simply do not reply, then, many weeks later say oh sorry, "took longer then both of us wished..."
Then again, nothing. Another reason to leave.

Hi.
Re support, I got an answer in 45 minutes.
I have a D750. When they answered that there was no ETA for the D750 converter, I used an EXIF editor to change the camera model to D810. I was then able to import and work on my images in C1 Pro v.8
I just asked support if the D810 is the best choice. Will let you know when I get an answer.
Best.

Hi again.
Just got a VERY FAST response to my query regarding making C1 think that the D750 is a D810. Here it is:
This may work but Capture One is now reading and treating the file as if it were a D810.
The files may work for you at the time but are not accurate in terms of color, file dimensions and render. This may cause compatability issues in the future if you are trying to Copy/Paste adjustments from these files to future D750 files.
So that's where we are for the moment.
Hope this helps.

Hey all,
We know it's in demand and we have it on our priority list.
However, this camera support isn't as important to the Sony users as a Sony camera, the Canon Users as a Canon Camera, etc, etc, etc.
As we build support in house when a camera is physically in our possession we have to wait for the manufacture to send us a sample and agree to allow support. Once the camera is at Phase One HQ we can start the process, which again takes time.
Thanks for your patience, we hope we can meet everyones demands but it comes down to the supply of the camera and the time to implement. Our track record for camera support is anywhere between 60-90 days from the cameras public release (assuming we get one right away). The camera has been out for less than 60 days and we have support as soon as we can.
It may be quite soon 😉0 -
Drew, thanks for the explanation on what to expect for new camera support. Based on that info I gather I should expect a 2-3 month wait for the Canon 7DII to be supported.
In the meantime, in order to test C1 8 demo version, would you suggest I just export 16 bit tifs from DPP and go from there, or would it be better to wait for the fully-supported version before testing C1 out?
Thanks!

Thanks for the news Drew. I am another D750 owner looking forward to the update.
