Exporting PSD, but no importing?

Why can you export .psd, but can't import .psd files into Capture One 8?

I hate working with layered tiffs. Would like to see that C1 could also import layered .psd files.
All other RAW editors can do this.

    Really ???!!

    Two things:
    1. PSD is not a raw format
    2. i'm pretty sure that not all other raw editors can do this.
