First impressions with v7
So many threads. I apologise but could not decide where to put this. Installed trial, own v6 pro.
I get the viewing window going black and reappearing on every little adjustment - 'blinking' I guess as decribed by others.
When processing I get a filename and black small file along with an error from microsoft along the lines of 'incompatible software'
Turning opencl off for 'Display' cures the first, turning it off for 'Processing' cures the second.
Processing files is slower than with v6 (noticable but not terrible) 1dsII raw cr2 - jpg.
No problems with processing, but i only ever process 25-50 max at once.
Even at iso250 I see a smoother noise correction (luminance)
Detail retention I would say is better and I actually like the new clarity controls. No halos for me but I do not shoot portraiture in studo so can't judge this. Judged these reprocessing shots from version 6
I am sticking with sessions, (hate library in Lightroom) so am avoiding it here. I am likely to upgrade but will see out the trial as I hope the opencl problems will be addressed.
My system - intel i7 920 12gb ram 250Gb SSD system Win 7 64. 2 x 1Tb cache and storage. Nvidia msi 560ti 1Gbgraphics. No problems running opencl with ver 6.4.3. Just the rare odd display window corruption in previous v6.
The nvidia 560ti is running 275.33 drivers. I cannot run nvidia 3xx.xx drivers as they produce 'video driver has stopped responding' random errors - a known nvidia problem with the later drivers.

To experiment I have removed all my nvidia drivers and installed the latest GeForce 306.97 whql driver for the GeForce GTX560ti.
Surprise!
opencl now working ok with BOTH display and processing enabled!
Slight, very slight, delay to adjustments, no screen corruption
I forgot to mention not related to opencl
much improved Lens (chromatic aberration etc) adjustments
ver7 opens much faster than v60 -
Wow! Good to see you solved your problems. It almost convinced me to upgrade, but before I do I will do some testing... 0 -
I have Geforce GTX 460 and was experiencing the blank screen and delay problems with open CL.
I too have updated my driver to the new GeForce 306.97 version and this has cured my problems.
There are still issues with V7 that make it unusable in my workflow at the moment.0 -
I have GeForce GT 440, 7i 3.40 Ghz 16 Gb Ram PC and I uppdated graphic drives yesterday to 306.97 because picture in CO 7.0 was blinking with every move I did in program. Yesterday after uppdating drives CO 7.0 worked well, today blinking issue is back. I can open my files normally. Working with blinking picture make this version for me unusable. Anybody has advice, what can this be how to solve it.
I have not disabled OpenCL
Shall I delete all graphic card drives and install them again ?
I have CO 6.4 still in computer, will not take it away, it works fine.
