Can't see items at actual size
After creating a new catalogue and adding 4000+ items, I can only get 100% view (media view) on some items. When viewing on media view, the top of the windows shows 1024x680@100% (the preview dimensions) for an image which is actually 4312x2868, regardless of switching on and off the “view previews at all timesâ€. The odd thing is that they are all in a single folder in the same connected external HD, are all DNGs out of the same camera/workflow, etc.. The file names are customized ending with a 5 digit sequential number (DI_XXXXX.dng). The 100% view is available to all files up to a certain no. (DI_07987) and on no files after that (DI_07988 onwards). I have already rebuild the problematic items a few times, have changed preferences to view and not to view previews at all times and nothing changes. Could anyone help me?
Thanks

This may be your problem with raw images only, the 100% size with previews turned off is actually 100% of the embedded jpeg, this can vary from camera model to camera model, all three of my same brand camera's have different sized embedded jpeg previews.
Also if the files are Adobe DNG then you may have used a different sized jpeg preview when converting them which is more likely in your case.0 -
Hi Paul
Thanks for your reply.
I've checked my DNG Converter preferences and indeed it was set for medium size previews rather than full size as intended. I've changed it back to full size now. This has never been an issue since I normally view the originals from Bridge which will give me the 100% view when needed.
Based in what you say, EM actually cannot access the originals even when is set to view the original media with the "use embedded preview" un-ticked on media rendering preferences ?
Would you suggest anything I could do get the previews I want from EM on the files already catalogued?
Thanks again
Arnold
PS.:
Forgot to say that the camera is exactly the same unit, not just a similar model0
